Blake Taylor

Blake began in the construction industry at an early age, working hands on with various trades on weekends and during summer vacations as early as he can remember. Blake is the third in a line of builders and was fortunate to begin his career with a supportive family. Following in the footsteps of his father, Prentice, and his brother, Dixon, he was always surrounded by home building.

Blake graduated from Georgia Southern University, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management with a minor in Business Administration. In fulfilling his natural passion for the field, Blake has developed an eye for beauty and consistency in his attention to detail in every aspect of home design.

In 2005 Blake incorporated and formed Blake Taylor Developments, Inc. He is a fully licensed, certified, and insured residential builder and a member of the Home Builders Association of South Georgia. At the start of 2022, Blake Taylor Developments has built approx. 400 homes valued from $200,000 to over $1,000,000. 

Laci is Blake’s wife – they make a wonderful team, both personally and professionally. Upon graduation in 2009 Laci joined Blake full time in the business. With a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Valdosta State University, Laci administers all the behind the scenes office work.

Blake and Laci have 2 boys and a girl, Sam, Jake, and Tinley.  They enjoy all things outside.

Kevin Shepard

Kevin officially joined the team in 2011 and has been in the construction industry for 18 years now.  Kevin wears many hats as lead project manager, designer, client liaison, husband, father and all around great guy.  When he’s not building homes, you’ll most likely find him with his wife Callie, and children Samantha, Hannah, Caleb and Olivia. He loves to get out and exercise – run, cycle and swim. Kevin and Blake have been friends since they met on bicycles in the neighborhood at 12 years old.

At Blake Taylor Developments we are so very grateful for the hard work every team member and sub-contractor put into each home.  The culmination of many parts are required to create the whole and each part is equally as important as the other.
